 Development of screening tool for Internet Gaming Disorder- feasibility study 

The study aimed to develop a screening tool for Internet Gaming Disorder (IGD) and assess its feasibility. The study is a part of the M.Phil. Rehabilitation Psychology program. The tool consists of nine domains that assess different aspects of IGD, including preoccupation, withdrawal, unsuccessful or cessation attempts, escapism, excessive gaming despite problems, deception with regard to gaming, jeopardizing significant relationships or life opportunities, loss of interest in previous hobbies, and tolerance. The findings from the three validity measures used in this study suggest that the screening tool for Internet Gaming Disorder has good overall validity. The internal consistency of the tool can be assessed using a statistical measure called Cronbach's alpha, which ranges from 0 to 1. The results of the present study indicate that the screening tool for IGD has high reliability and can be used as an effective measure for screening individuals with IGD. The Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficient was found to be 0.972, indicating high internal consistency among the items in the screening tool. The high Cronbach's alpha coefficient is a strong indication that the items in the screening tool are closely related, and they are measuring the same construct, which is IGD. Comparing the reliability of the Screening Tool for Internet Gaming Disorder to other IGD screening tools, most instruments showed high reliability, indicating that they are useful tools for identifying individuals with IGD. 

Influence of occupational stress on job satisfaction among central government employees

As part of my Masters of Psychology program, I conducted a study on the influence of occupational stress on job satisfaction among central government employees. The study aimed to examine the relationship between occupational stress and job satisfaction, as well as identify the specific sources of stress that impacted job satisfaction among this population.
