During my internship, I worked on a project titled **"Validation of NACA 0012 Airfoil at Low Subsonic Speeds Using RANS"**, where I applied CFD techniques to analyze aerodynamic performance. The project involved simulating airflow over the airfoil using the Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) equations and comparing the results with experimental data for validation. I gained hands-on experience with meshing, turbulence modeling, and post-processing in CFD software. This project enhanced my understanding of aerodynamic behavior, flow separation, and pressure distribution, and helped me develop critical skills in numerical analysis, problem-solving, and technical reporting in the field of computational aerodynamics.
I had the opportunity to complete my internship at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) in the MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) Helicopter Division. During this time, I gained valuable insights into the operational and maintenance procedures of rotary-wing aircraft. I observed and learned about various systems including avionics, hydraulics, propulsion, and structural components. The experience enhanced my understanding of real-world aerospace maintenance standards, quality control, and safety protocols. Working alongside experienced engineers and technicians at HAL deepened my technical knowledge and gave me a practical perspective on the aerospace industry, particularly in the field of helicopter servicing and support.
