  • Production and planning
  • 1. Based on Rolling Plan Material planning as per Re-Order Level and with 20% of the packaging material in excess as per planning.
  • 2. Tentative Plan we used to get at the end of the month and first 15D planning for all RM/PM and other consumables.
  • 3. Firm plan we used to get beginning of the month we used plan for all RM/PM and other consumables with 20% additional requirement as it is marketing and sales oriented company and which we used to review on monthly ROC [Regional Officers Meet] and which ever the brand is required high and low based on demand we used to service and change requirement and BOM accordingly.
  • Inventory Management :-
  • 1. Planning and Strategy :-
  • A. Annual operating planning and executing of Sales and Operations planning and also Sales, Inventory based on demand and next month rolling and operations planning based on line and efficiency.
  • 2. Based on Rolling, Tentative and Firm plan used get these assumptions updated in SAP considering Opening Stock, Balance requirement after considering stock availability with 20% fluctuations as it is market originated company production is used to planned based on capacity utilization and Master Production Scheduling and Material Requirement planning and other work orders to meet the demand.
  • 3. Planning and scheduling of production and requirement with respect to COP – cost of production with running of lines with Two/Three shifts and material availability and synchronizing the brewing and aligning the packing materials and Preventive schedules to get maximum output and COP within the targeted cost.
  • 4. These things we used to plan on Month and month, Week on week and year on year due to marketing/consumer oriented company.
  • 5. After detailed production scheduling ensuring OTIF – On time in full by executing permits-import and export, based on Unit measurement and purchase order/permit requirement. Also in consultation with Sales team based on Sales trend keeping min stocks to meet sudden requirement of fast moving brands and execution of the same on time.
  • 6. In terms of Review and Systems;-
  • A. Advance planning based on Rolling and scheduling of inventory and production to keep demands are met on time and surprises are fulfilled to cater the market.
  • B. Continuous review of demand with advance ERP – Enterprises Resources planning through SAP by increasing the demand and getting the required PR/PO to get material on time.
  • C. Daily review meeting and Monthly MRM to review the status and gaps to take corrective measures to meet the demand and way-forward.
  • D. Cost control through usage of old and new, Synchronization of brewing and bottling to control on electricity and steam usage.
  • By this we have achieved Max of 84L [2023-24] and 81L [2024-25] demand requirement fulfilment and marked share reached to 21% in the year 2024-25.
  • Apart from this we worked on following:-
  • 1. Vendor Managed Inventory of Bearing, Oil seal, V Belts etc., to meet sudden requirement of Breakdown and Preventive Maintenance.
  • 2. Bottle Storage inside and outside the godown to meet seasonal demand with max usage of around 60% old and 40% new bottles.
  • 3. Logistics – Permit Service Level lead time for within Karnataka
  • 4. All Excise related matters are settled amicably and as per statutory excise requirement maintained the same.

Procurement & Logistics Head (UBL Mysore)

  • Spearheading the efforts, to accomplish the corporate objectives United Breweries Ltd .as Procurement and Logistics Head for India’s second largest and most profitable brewery.
  • Handling ~ 130 SKU’s in 14 states with 100% compliance to excise norms (Regulated market)
  • Responsible for Production Planning along with Brewer and Production Manager in line with Firm PGP
  • Ensures 100% PGP compliance with > 90% service levels in highly regulated environment.
  • Part of team which successfully delivered capacity expansion at UBL Mysore within timelines Inspite of strict Covid guidelines.
  • Handling the driver unions and transporters to ensure supplies OTIF.
  • Vendor, warehouse and contractor management.
  • Increased used bottle retrieval from market up to 80 %
  • Overall Reduction in Yard Bottle Breakages by 0.5% which is our core element to achieve operational excellence and Restricted Bottle breakage to 3% for FY 20-21 against budget of 3.4%.
  • Ensured Zero production downtime due to unavailability of RM/PM even during COVID Situation.
  • Responsible for meeting KPI Targets including line efficiency, Safety, Quality, Packing Materials productivity.
  • Internal Auditor for monitoring and compiling Quality systems like FSSC 22000, ISO 22000:2005
  • Responsible as AM Pillar member for inculcating culture of 5S and Am steps approach across the plant.
  • Responsible for all Procurement and logistics SAP reports and its compliance.
  • Responsible for Repair & Maintenance Budgeting of line Equipment's and timely spares management within the approved budget.
  • Responsible for procuring the timely Spares with respect to line Equipment's and Machineries through PR and PO process in co-ordination with stores and procurement department.
  • Driving plant safety by being an active member in Safety Pillar by reviewing and formalizing control points like PPE compliance, Work Permit adherence, Tool box talk, SOT(safety organization tour) and successfully ensuring Zero MTC and LTI.

  • 1. Production and Planning :-
  • A. Production planning based on Rolling, Tentative and Firm Plan [Permit Generation Plan] for 14 states and 130 SKU’s.
  • B. Material planning based on Tentative and Firm Plan in accordance with Brewing and Beer Availability.
  • C. As per Sales Forecast availability of finished goods to meet key markets and demands of all the SKU’s in the market.
  • D. Ensuring no stock out situation in the market with close monitoring and in co-ordination with all State Stake Holders for 100% availability of finished goods to meet customer demand.
  • 2. Bottle Management
  • A. Collection of Old Bottles through nominated bottle collector by sharing District wise Secondary sales and bottle availability.
  • B. MIS for bottle collection district wise and Brand/SKU wise [Almost 12 Brands].
  • C. Daily review with the collector to supply old bottles to work on reduced COP.
  • D. Data Base development of S2’s and Market visit on need based to understand the market situation of bottles.
  • 3. Logistics Management
  • A. Daily requirement review with the transporters and placing indents ensuring daily dispatches are as per requirement to achieve CSL >80% for inter and Intra.
  • B. Part of Freight Negotiations for Outbound logistics and necessary increase based on Diesel Hike.
  • C. Customer Service Level Tracking through Truck placement/Stock Issue/Holidays/Other issues and ensuing >80% service level.
  • D. Ontime Execution of Export Permits [14 states]
  • E. Collection of EVC’s on time to keep intact Bank Guarantee.
