• Automatic Engine locking System – Breathalyzer based Microcontroller, 2018 – 2019
• As part of the project we developed a microcontroller that automatically shuts off the DC engine based on the driver’s alcohol level and renders the vehicle inactive.
• A breath analyzer detects the amount of alcohol based on set BAC levels (Blood Alcohol Content) in the micro controller. The output of the breath analyzer is linked to the microcontroller which in turn converts the signal in the form of a delay. This delay is then used to control the DC motor of the vehicle.
• The set up can be used to keep a check on professional drivers with taxi companies or even on personal vehicles.
• Aid of drones in Disaster Management (December 2019 – August 2020)
• The project deal with the use of drones controlled by an operator to deliver life saving medicines to far off places in a crisis. A more practical use of this mechanism is to aid tele medicine.
• By using GPS and real time tracking, the operator can guide the drone to its intended destination.
• The project also deals with the implementation of a secure medicine vault which was electronically secured. A decoding mechanism was used to open the vault only when the receiver entered a secure password.
