Description The objective of this project was to determine the flange acceleration levels due to varying mount loads mainly coming from the Main gear box. Harmonic analysis was carried out to evaluate if the acceleration levels are within acceptable limits.

Responsibilities:

Ø Preparation of various mount load combination details. These loads are applied as forcing function in harmonic analysis.

Ø Model setup of full engine and preparation of Nastran deck for harmonic analysis with different load sub cases.

Ø Solving for harmonic analysis and getting the harmonic response at excitation frequency.

Ø Extracting the acceleration levels for individual load combination at various flange location using hyper view.

Ø Analysis, results interpretation and discussion of results with customer.

Ø Analysis results report generation and documentation.


2) Projects:-Pratt & Whitney Canada –PW150 Rotors

Role: Team Member & Project execution

Description: The objective of this project was to evaluate the possibility of achieving the natural frequencies of the aero engine rotor component to clear the interference in Campbell diagram without impacting the dynamic analysis stress and weight of the component. Place the Strain gage on the finalized model.

Responsibilities:

Ø FE modeling of component using 3D elements.

Ø Model setup, validation and analysis to obtain the baseline set of results for the existing system.

Ø Identifying the critical parameters in the design and preparation of parametric model.

Ø Identifying the max allowable stress for the design and its natural frequencies.

Description: The objective of this project was to study the crack issue on the igniter collar and suggest the new design. Thermal, steady and dynamic analysis was carried out for different iterations

Ø Preparation of various designs with in the PWC best practices and Criteria.

Ø Solving for Thermal, steady and dynamic analysis
