Description The objective of this project was to determine the flange acceleration levels due to varying mount loads mainly coming from the Main gear box. Harmonic analysis was carried out to evaluate if the acceleration levels are within acceptable limits.
Responsibilities:
Ø Preparation of various mount load combination details. These loads are applied as forcing function in harmonic analysis.
Ø Model setup of full engine and preparation of Nastran deck for harmonic analysis with different load sub cases.
Ø Solving for harmonic analysis and getting the harmonic response at excitation frequency.
Ø Extracting the acceleration levels for individual load combination at various flange location using hyper view.
Ø Analysis, results interpretation and discussion of results with customer.
Ø Analysis results report generation and documentation.
2) Projects:-Pratt & Whitney Canada –PW150 Rotors

Description: The objective of this project was to evaluate the possibility of achieving the natural frequencies of the aero engine rotor component to clear the interference in Campbell diagram without impacting the dynamic analysis stress and weight of the component. Place the Strain gage on the finalized model.
Responsibilities:
Ø FE modeling of component using 3D elements.
Ø Model setup, validation and analysis to obtain the baseline set of results for the existing system.
Ø Identifying the critical parameters in the design and preparation of parametric model.
Ø Identifying the max allowable stress for the design and its natural frequencies.
Ø Setting up a DOE approach to get the combination of iterations.
Ø Defining a mathematical formulation by defining objective function as to clear the interferences modes.
Ø Solving the model for different iterations and generation of response surface and studying how design parameter is sensitive to the constraints.
Ø Getting the optimized solution using optimization algorithm from the response surface by solving for the objective function.
Ø Validating the optimized solution to ensure the stress and natural frequencies are acceptable.
Ø Analysis, results interpretation and discussion of results with customer.

3)Projects:-Pratt & Whitney Canada –PW150 Igniter collar

Description: The objective of this project was to study the crack issue on the igniter collar and suggest the new design. Thermal, steady and dynamic analysis was carried out for different iterations

Description: This project involves project execution task for the components like Stators, Rotors, Diffusers, etc., for PWC engine family using ESW Rotor and Stator.

Description:
This component is a rotating structure. Also the this component possess complex shape as it has to take complex loading. This task involves the following major activities
Develop analysis and optimization methodology. Create FE model using Automodeler. Create APDL program to automatically analyze for the given loads and extract results in required format. Make complete optimization set up by connecting Ansys, Catia V5, Automodeler and iSight. Optimize the Input Coupling to meet required PSRD stiffness, strength, durability and manufacturing criteria. Use Goodman diagram to check HCF (High Cyclic Fatigue) life of the component at various critical location. Document all required results and share with Clients
Individual Contribution:
Planned the resource allocation to execute the projects. Handled technical and quality aspects of the project. Made complete optimization set up (Multi Objective Optimization) by connecting Ansys, CatiaV5, Automodeler and iSight. Created APDL program to automatically analyze and extract results in required format which reduces lead time significantly and reduces manual intervention ensuring the quality. Handled the meetings with clients and chiefs to discuss the structural analysis results. Coordinated with Offshore team to execute the task and made sure that deliverables are on time with quality.
