Project: Financial Data Warehouse
Role: Build and Release Manager/ Scrum Master
Project Overview
Financial Data Warehouse is used for Bank’s regulatory reporting across all regions supporting various regulatory submissions in timely manner.
Role and responsibility:
Working as Scrum Master and lead for all build and deployment activities, which involves:
§ Working on supporting various build and release activities for the project.
§ Working as scrum master for the team which involves working closely with product owner to ensure timely delivery of objectives.
§ Working on Team city(build tool) and Udeploy(Deployment tool) for performing day to day activities.
§ Involved heavily on release management/access management/SDLC control activities as well.
§ Artifact Management using Nexus, Artifactory.
§ Release Management: Managing and Test environment deployments. For release in pre-production and production used Service now to create ticket for release, scheduling the release and executing deployments. Trouble shooting deployments, communicating and collaborating with business and development teams.
Production Support of Risk applications which is used for the central credit risk data management, calculation and reporting application which provides all the credit risk reports for internal management and external/regulatory purposes of Financial Institution.
Worked as an APAC regional escalation contact and giving support coverage from APAC regions perspective.
It involves working closely with various Business users in APAC time zone and ensure Production remains stable during business hours.
As Shift Lead of the application:
· Address status calls, communicating with client and finalizing how to proceed on any kind of severe issues which are business critical.
· Handle issues within the team (RTB Micro strategy/SAS/Oracle/Unix/STE/Java, CTB Micro strategy/SAS/Oracle/Unix/STE/Java and Operations) & Client (Germany, Manila, Russia) to give the best support.
· Uniformly distribute work among the team members and regular KTs with the juniors.
· Managing the vendor partners and their expectations.
As SME (Subject Matter Expert) for Production Environment:
· Perform the tasks of space management, backup and archiving using UNIX and Oracle
· Looking into the day to day technical failures and fixing them independently or co-ordination with SL3 teams.
· Helping the team members (L1 and L2) in case of issues and leading the team to fix the issues.
· Critical issues handling of Priority P1/P2/P3 Critical.
· Giving end to end knowledge of the process to team members to help them grow their
· Technical and Project knowledge
· Finalize the task chain to be executed and find the dependency with the tasks.
· Heavily involved on change/release management aspects of the project.
