Development of Plasmonic Substrates for Applications in Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS)

  • Patterning of plasmonic substrates using the fabrication technique - Two Photon Lithography (TPL)
  • Synthesis of colloidal nanoparticles for SERS applications and subsequent characterization
  • Fabrication on graphene oxide/silver salts-based material composites for different applications.
  • Equipping Two Photon Lithography (TPL) to fabricate polymer structures from acrylate-based monomer and commercial photo-initiator.

Masters Project

Design, Fabrication and Characterization of Metamaterial Absorber in the X-band

  • Designed a metamaterial absorber unit cell and simulated using the software CST Microwave Studio to obtain an absorption peak of 81% around 10 GHz.
  • Fabricated the absorber with the optimized design using Thermal Evaporation Technique and studied its absorption properties in microwave region using Vector Network Analyzer (VNA).
