Ride Comfort and Response Characteristics of a 10DoF Model, ISME, Dr Chandrashekara C V, 2, MATLAB, Simulink, ANSYS, microsoft word, data research, Vibration analysis of a 10Dof model was conducted, and response characteristics and modal analysis were performed., A MATLAB code was written to extract the excited frequency, natural frequency, mode shape, eigen vectors, values, response, etc., Matrices were created for the complex 10Dof model, from which abbreviations and unknowns were determined. These characteristics provided insights into the ride comfort of passengers in cars traveling over road irregularities., The study concluded that ride comfort and vehicle handling could not coexist seamlessly, as frequencies did not align with vehicle handling parameters. A model was developed in ANSYS to understand the stresses and impacts at various locations., Responses from the ANSYS model were compared with those obtained from MATLAB, showing a small error value of 0.01, indicating successful validation., The code demonstrated that ride comfort could be altered by adjusting parameters to improve responses.

  • Vega Racing Electric, 15, Hands on work, procurement, Lotus, optimum G, IPG carmaker, ANSYS, SolidWorks, Vehicle Dynamics, Suspension, race car dynamics, Microsoft Excel, welding, MATLAB, management skills, financial analysis, steering, Joining the prestigious Club Vega Racing Electric team has been an enriching experience., We embarked on an ambitious journey to construct an electric race car from the ground up, despite our initial lack of expertise., Through countless hours of dedicated effort, we successfully built a formidable contender for the renowned FSAE Formula Bharat competition., Played a pivotal role in the suspension design, delving into complex concepts and applying them to optimize the car's performance., The entire vehicle, particularly the suspension system, underwent meticulous parameterization and numerous iterations to achieve the desired setup., Beyond suspension design, I also spearheaded the procurement process for the entire club, carefully evaluating quotations and ensuring the timely acquisition of high-quality materials., As the driver, I'm committed to mastering the intricate art of tuning the car for maximum speed and handling., Our journey culminates in the FSAE Formula Bharat competition, where we eagerly anticipate the opportunity to showcase our collective efforts and demonstrate the capabilities of our electric race car.
  • Virtual design and simulation of an autonomous tractor, Professor Sharanabassapa Patil, 4, Matlab, ROS, Fusion 360, Gazebo, Rviz, SolidWorks, Simulink, Unreal Engine, Blender, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Ubuntu, A CAD model of the tractor was created using SolidWorks and Fusion 360, and then implemented in Simulink and MATLAB. However, due to limitations and compatibility issues, ROS (Robot Operating System) was used instead, providing valuable insights into Ubuntu and its functions., Gazebo and Rviz were used within ROS for mapping and localization. After addressing various errors, the global and local path planning algorithms were successfully implemented with the appropriate controller., Overcoming constraints related to turning, scaling, and tractor parameters proved challenging but ultimately rewarding, allowing the tractor to navigate through rows of crops, avoid obstacles, and perform tasks such as sowing, ploughing, and fertilizing., This project aims to assist farmers by reducing their workload and improving their safety. By eliminating the need to handle potentially harmful fertilizers, the tractor reduces the risk of disease and ensures farmers' well-being., Additionally, the tractor enhances efficiency and yield, fulfilling a significant goal for farmers.
  • Human Following Robot, 3, Arduino, Wheel encoders, Tinker cad, Word, Suspension, Genetic Algorithms, A small human-following robot was made as a project out of interest, and it turned out well. The robot could be used as a suitcase, which could be improvised and used for traveling purposes., The robot works on IR and camera sensors, which look at the human and maintain the distance set in the code. It's quite a simple code that could be improvised and implemented in real life and is cost-effective.
