Here’s what made it extra special: The number 1993 symbolizes the founding year of SRM IHM. The vadas were baked, not fried—highlighting a healthier, eco-conscious twist on a traditional South Indian favorite. Over 90 students and staff collaborated under the theme “Baking for the Better World.” The vadas were paired with sambar and distributed to the underprivileged through the NGO No Food Waste, turning symbolism into real-world impact. Dr. D. Antony Ashok Kumar, Director of SRM IHM, summed it up beautifully: “This record is not just about numbers. It’s about purpose—training our students to use their skills for a larger cause.
