Meter Reading & Bill Distribution, Meter Reading and Pre-Billing Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure monthly meter reading retrieval within the stipulated time frame for all energy meters of NPCL licensed area
  • Attain optical download-based meter reading against all compatible energy meters through deployment of industry benchmark technology and seamless integration for all segments of meter reading (AMR, LPR, BLE, Single Phase etc.)
  • Reduce provisional(estimate/normative) based billing and ensure extensive quality checks of meter reading data before billing execution for entire consumer base
  • Optimization of Meter Data Acquisition System (MDAS) for timely processing of meter reading data
  • Arranging for timely resolution of reported site anomalies such Meter problem, Meter Beyond Reach, etc
  • Arranging on site meter readings against consumer complaints within specified turn around time (TAT)

Revenue Assurance:

  • Preparation of Energy Flow Analysis for monitoring T&D losses across all 33 KV and 11 KV feeders
  • Load enhancement of consumers based on demand(usage) as per provisions of UP ESC,2005
  • Verification of rate category as per on site electricity supply usage
  • Verification of all SAP IS-U operands applicable for maintained rate category as per tariff
  • Check for correct Allocation of Meter Reading Unit (MRU)
  • Device Management i.e check for billing registers configured along with demand(usage) based billing
  • Assessment of energy against defective meters and development of tool for extensive meter tamper data analysis

Bill Printing and Distribution:

  • Finalization and deployment of monthly electricity invoice artwork
  • Arranging hard copy bill printing and distribution of all post-paid connections within the stipulated time frame while capturing digital Proof of Bill Delivery
  • Archiving of old electricity bills in original form for future reference in legal matters
  • Introduction of Multi Colour Electricity Bills; Dynamic data printing on both sides of bill

Audit and Other Responsibilities:

  • Lead Department Representative for ISO-9001 and OHSAS-14001 internal and external audits
  • Deputy Leader for 5S Audits across office facility
