Project – Establishing a 0.42 MTPA Ductile Iron Pipe Plant at Value Added Business Goa for Vedanta Sesa Goa.

Facilities - PEB Shed of 33,500 sqm, 03 Nos. Induction furnace of 15 T capacity, 07 Nos. CCM, 02 Nos. Annealing Furnace, 03 Finishing Line, Cooling Tower, Road, Drain, Retaining wall, and Utility buildings.

Project Highlight - i. Differential Floor Levels at +39.50, +33.5 & +22.2 to establish the plant on hilly terrain ii. Massive Land Grading of 5.00 Lakhs Cum.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewed and finalized project GA, approving construction drawings in consultation with the design team and establishing execution methodologies for the project.
• Reviewed and established baseline schedule of the project, tracking and monitoring project progress, assessing schedules for any delays in critical milestones.
• Risk management - Reviewed and finalized project risk register, advanced planning of bottleneck activities with action plan.
• Regular meetings conducted with key stakeholders, comprising EPC vendor, structural consultant, and client, to oversee and monitor various activities including engineering, manufacturing, dispatch and site execution.
• Work Execution - Execute the site activities as per drawing and project requirement, which includes land grading, civil, PEB, equipment erection, electrical, and utilities work.
• Outlined communication strategy and established the governance framework for project operations.
• Developed and finalized the procedures for project reporting, reviewing DPR, WPR, and MPR, assessed the progress of the project, and presented findings to the client.
• Verification of executed quantities and processing of contractor bills for payment.
• Resolving vendor-related concerns, including billing discrepancies, quantity issues, safety matters, manpower challenges, claims, and any other contractual issues.
• Document Control - Established document control methodology, reviewed and finalized DCI, maintaining project documents.

Accomplished the development of mechanized warehousing facilities at seven unique sites. Each project encompassed a silo, warehouse, processing tower, wagon unloading system, MEP installations, fire fighting work, an administrative building, utility structures, roadways, boundary walls, and other ancillaries.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewed, Finalized Project GA and construction drawings. Coordinated with design consultant for timely release of drawings.
• Successfully completed evaluation and finalization of estimated project cost, BOQ, and tender documents in accordance with contract stipulations and technical specifications.
• Contracts Management: Technical evaluation and vendor shortlisting, involvement in vendor negotiations and pre-bid meetings with the commercial and FAG teams
  Contractor follow-up to ensure timely mobilization
• Prepared project schedule in Microsoft Project, along with assessment of the Detailed Project Report (DPR) and Monthly Progress Report (MPR). Organized regular project review meetings to oversee timelines, budget adherence, quality standards, and safety measures.
• Successfully carried out projects in alignment with approved drawings and facility requirements involving Civil, PEB, and MEP works while maintaining strict adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.
• Cost Management - Completed projects within authorized budget by implementing cost reduction strategies through optimization of engineering processes and successful contract negotiation.
• Verified the executed quantities and processed contractor bills for payment.
• Coordinated with all contractors, original equipment manufacturers, suppliers, and consultants, while also interacting with external organizations to obtain government approvals and ensure project compliance, including CLU, CTE/CTO, Fire NOC, AAI NOC, NHAI NOC, Electrical Connection, and Weight & Measure certification, among others.
• Project Finance - I was part of the Project Finance core team, prepared the draw-down schedules & Coordinated with LIE (Lender's Independent Engineer) for preparation and submission of Progress report to financing authority enabling timely fund disbursement.

Completed industrial projects: 33/6.6Kv Substation complex, Fastener plant, Rod mill extension, Nail Mill (Ph - 1 & 2), Binding Wire. Further, finished MSD projects in the wire and rod mills. Successfully finished interior works for the Hospital Complex, HR Office, Purchase Office, RM Training Center, WM Conference Room, and Sports Complex.

Maintenance - Infrastructure upkeep for the town and plants.

Responsibilities:-

• Reviewed and finalized construction drawing, coordinated with Consultant for timely release of drawings.
• Estimated project cost, finalized BOQ, work specifications, and tender documents.
• Coordinated with the procurement team for tendering, vendor assessment, negotiation, and order placing.
• Work Execution - Executed the projects as per approved drawing and facility requirements, including Civil, Structural Shed. Completed the execution, maintaining all quality and safety parameters.
• Prepared project schedule in MSP and monitored progress.
• Upkeep of Plant and Township infrastructure through need-based and preventive maintenance.
• Checked the quantities and processed contractor bills for payment.
• Collaborated with cross-departmental team members to identify and resolve bottlenecks, secure timely approvals, and ensure the availability of necessary inputs for the successful and timely completion of the project.

Projects:

i) Construction of Superspeciality Hospital under BRGF at Nandigram(A

Client: Hooghly River Bridge Commissioners (HRBC)

Constructed a 300-bed, 5-story hospital building along with 2 numbers. 04-story residential tower for doctors and nurses.

ii) 51.9 KTPA Smelter Expansion Project for Hindalco at Hirakud

Client: Hindalco.

Established an Aluminum Smelter facility, which consisted of a Rectifier building, a Rectifier control building, a POT Room, a Cooling Tower, a 3500-Ton Silo using Slip form technique, an Enriched Alumina Silo, a Fluoride Silo, a 65 MT furnace, a stack foundation, a Cast House, a Plant road network, and an Administrative building.

Responsibilities:

• Oversaw the construction activities in respect of drawing.
• Established quality control methodology, developed QAP, and implemented while executing the work.
• Verified measurement of contractor bills and processed for payment.
• Prepared schedule using MSP and monitored progress with respect to the baseline schedule.
• Reviewed construction drawings and coordinated with designer in relation to timely release of drawings.
• Prepared cost to completion of the project, Monitored cost with respect to the approved project budget.
• Developed reporting formats, prepared DPR, MPR, and presented to client.

Projects:-

i) Construction of Viaduct from Joka to Mominpur under Joka-BBD Bag Metro Corridor of Kolkata Metro Railway

Client: Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd. Constructed viaduct for elevated metro corridor consisting of utility detection work, 1200mm dia. Cast-in-situ bore pile, sheet piling, pile cap, pier, pier head.

ii) Construction of Six nos. Elevated Metro stations of the East West Metro Project under Kolkata Metro Rail Corporation Ltd.

Client: Kolkata Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. Constructed six elevated Metro stations consisting of utility detection work, 1200mm dia. Cast-in-situ bore pile, sheet piling, pile cap, pier and pier cap, overhead superstructure at concourse and platform level.

iii) Extension of Wet Basin at Paradip Port

Client: Paradip Port Trust.

Executed diaphragm wall, panel pile, transverse beam, deck slab, and related superstructure.

iv) Creation of Additional Facilities for Oil Jetty at Paradip Port

Client: Paradip Port Trust.

Constructed 02 nos. Mooring Dolphin and 02 nos. Berthing Dolphin, which included installation of marine piles and superstructure work.

v) Extension of Wet Basin Including Construction of an Integrated Dry Dock at Paradip Port for PPT

Client: Paradip Port Trust.

Constructed drydock of size 75m x 15m x 11m, consisting of Diaphragm wall, Panel Pile, Sheet Piling, Deck Slab, Pump House.

Responsibility:

• Oversaw construction operations, including planning, monitoring progress, and compiling progress reports. Regularly assess and finalize material requirements, placing orders as necessary. Develop cost-to-completion estimates for the project. Prepared contractor bills and processed them for payment. Coordinated with client and consultant in relation to project execution.

Construction of Residential Complex named 'Aponaloy', having 14 blocks of 5-story buildings.

Responsibilities:

• Oversaw all activities associated with the construction of a five-story building. This included reviewing and certifying contractor invoices for payment, monitoring progress at every stage, and preparing purchase requisitions for material.
