A coating lab tech is at the center of the operation to develop packaging labels and other products. In this role, you will make sure you are running quality, defect free material. The lab tech will run multiple test on every sample to make sure the product is defect free. You work with a team of engineers, maintenance, team leads, and coating members. Together we run a two story oven the length of a football field. We work as a team to make sure the correct adhesive, liner, and silicone are being distributed over the paper. The lab tech will run test to ensure the calculations are correct for all material running through the coater and enters the information into a computer database to log all information over their shift.
