Manufacturing Design and Draft for Aircraft Engine parts e.g. Turbine/Rotor Disc, LPT/HPT Hub/Duct, etc.

  • Developed manufacturing process plans for Turbine Discs, HPT/LPT Hubs and Ducts as per blueprint for GE (Engine: F110 & T700), Pratt and Whitney (Engine: F100 & JT8), RR (Engine: RB211), Mitsubishi, etc.
  • Drafted a process from manufacturing to inspection stage, such as, Turning operations on Horizontal and Vertical Lathe Machines (Puma 480 & Toshiba VTL TUE-15) by segregating operation sheets e.g. OP 010 for Qualifying and creating starting datum as per blueprint then OP 020 to OP 050 for creating semi finish to finish operations on FWD and AFT side.
  • Drafted OP Sheets for Milling operations on 3-Axis and 5-Axis Machines (Okuma VTM 1200YB & Niigata HN63E) for hole making and slot making by the specs mentioned e.g. GE spec.: P11TF12
  • Moving on to the forming operations such as broaching, spline, and curvic grind (concave/convex) profile.
  • Drafted Surface treatment operations such as Shot peening, Liquid buffing, etc.
  • Drafted inspection operation sheets such as, Balancing, NDT (FPI/MPI) & Spin Test.
  • Designed fixtures for Turning, Milling, Broaching, Almen test (for first shot peen), Balancing, Airflow test in UG-NX.
  • Develop a control plan for critical mfg and non-mfg processes evaluated from 'P-FMEA & D-FMEA'.
  • Use of a CAPA or RCCA for manufacturing errors or after a catastrophic event while all processing steps.
  • Preparing an ECN (engineering change note) & ECR (engineering change request) reports.

  • Designed thermoforming dies for PET/PC disposable products (meal trays, cups, fruit punnets) in SolidWorks, incorporating CNC-friendly geometries (e.g., draft angles, uniform wall thickness) to streamline machining of aluminum/tool steel molds.
  • Generated 2D manufacturing drawings in AutoCAD for top/bottom plates, cavity assemblies, and ejector systems, including GD&T-driven tolerances (±0.005") and CAM-compatible annotations for CNC milling/turning.
  • Modeled intricate die components (air vents, cooling channels, multi-stage ejection systems) in SolidWorks, optimizing micro-channel depths and hole patterns for 5-axis CNC machining to minimize secondary operations.
