- As a Mud Logger, my prime responsibility is to make sure that all the drilled cutting samples are examined under a Microscope and fluoroscope and packed, sealed, and handed over to the client and to monitor all the drilling parameters, Drill breaks, and Pit volumes while drilling
- Monitoring the Drilling parameters like ROP, WOB, RPM, SPM, SPP, Hook load Torque, etc
- Handling of core samples which include recovery, and orientation sampling
- Monitoring Mud parameters like Mud Pit volumes, Mud weight, Mud Temperature, etc
- Monitor Mud loss, Gas and maintain Trip sheet
- Experienced in HPHT Well Coring, Deepwater Well Coring and Exploratory Well Coring operations
- Attend daily Toolbox meetings, JSA meetings, Safety meetings, and Pre-job safety meetings with Drilling supervisors and Safety Officers
- Performed regular gas/sensor calibration and undertake onsite maintenance of the sensors when necessary
- Assist Geologist during Formation tops
- Assist in Rig up and Rig down
- Working on the KG Basin and Mahanadi Basin (Offshore) of ONGC has given me vast exposure to various Lithologies encountered in a depositional basin and their interpretation
- XRD/XRF methodologies of testing cutting samples.
