I started at Kimura with the construction of the building and installation of all equipment.
I am responsible for all the environmental permits.
Control of all production, maintenance, day-to-day HR functions.
All employees report to me except Vice President of Sales and Sales Manager.
I report directly to President.
I Approve all purchases and purchases of new equipment.
Meet with customers and their engineering teams for issues.
Our main work is Prototype and small runs for larger companies to help them with their production issues.
We produce Iron, Ductile Iron, Stainless Steels, and this year introduced Aluminum furnace.
Have experience with 3D sand printers as this is our only molding method.
After startup and Covid we have achieved profitability for the last year.
We also became ISO certified in the last year.

Achieved cost cutting by using different materials and keeping under budget.
During this time also worked as the manufacturing person on a new ERP system (Odyssey).

I was the main contact for Customers if any questions would arise, traveling to their location or meeting with them if they came to the foundry if they visited.
I also adjust lead times and set expediting prices as production needs arise.
Also responsible for scheduling parts that were sent to outside machine shops to make sure they were ready when due.
The Customer Service and Sales Representatives and Shipping clerks were the only direct reports as Production Manager.

I was responsible for 27 employees from molding through cleaning, finishing, and shipping of castings.

Making sure furnaces are full and slagged, and the chemistry of the iron is within specifications (adjusted as needed).
Checking the shells of the furnaces (45 ton) for hot spots and water temperatures of the furnaces and making sure all ladle repairs are completed.
Have the iron hot and ready for pouring.
