Academic Projects

1. Project – Hydro Tasmania Pumped Storage Hydro Power.

· Coal is retiring, and new sources of renewable energy like wind and solar are cheap and becoming more plentiful. But they are variable so energy storage is needed to help fill the gaps and maintain the reliability and stability of our electricity supply.

· To identify the best site for a storage reservoir for the three proposed hydro power locations using an MCDA approach through GIS (Geographic Information Science) using by ArcGIS application.

2.Project - Application of Powdered Activated Carbon Made from Coconut Shell for Wastewater Treatment

· Increase in population has boosted the growth of different industries leading to discharge of pollutants into the water bodies.

· Activated carbon is prepared by different methods both physical and chemical activation as well as combination of both physical and chemical activation.

3. Project – Portable Water Purifier – Using Modern Technologies

· Find out issues concerning drinking water and determine the standards stipulated for drinking water quality.

· Survey different water purifies and purification techniques and describe the portable purifies by means of the available literature.

· To enlist the desirable qualities of water treatment devices and compare the purifies based on multiple parameters like cost, microbial removal efficacy, ease of use, dependence on utilities, etc.

4. Project – A Green Approach for the Utilization of Waste for the Generation of Bioelectricity.

· Bioelectricity is a state-of-the-art technology for production of electricity from metabolism of microorganisms.

· The different type of waste is used for electricity production and, they are transformed into less toxic metabolisms, which demonstrates its another potential use in waste management and pollution control.
