Responsibilities

• Involved in Extracting, Transforming and Loading data.
• Understanding various business requirements.
• Responsible and involved in Extracting, Transforming and Loading data from Advanced Query Tool (AQT).
• Built the SQL Queries based one the requirement document and evaluated the Business requirements to develop Informatica jobs.
• Build the Informatica jobs of different mappings by using different Transformations like Filter, Aggregator, Lookup, Expression, update Strategy, Joiner, Router etc to load the data into staging tables and then to target.
• Prepared unit test documents for all the PUDI Jobs.
• Involved into the preparation of deployment plan which contains list of mappings and workflows they need to migrate bases on this deployment team migrate the code from one environment to another environment.
• Parameterized all the mappings and workflows not to cause any issue in higher environments.
• Used performance techniques like Pushdown optimization which increases mapping performance when the source database can process transformation logic faster than the Data Integration Service.
• Providing daily, weekly and monthly status during meetings.

CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield is a health insurance provider serving 3.5 million individuals and groups in Maryland and the Washington metropolitan area. It has dual headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland and Washington D.C. It is a non-profit organization and an independent licensee of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association. The company has a 75 percent market share in Maryland. It also serves more than 626,000 members in the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program.

During the COVID-19 pandemic CareFirst contributed $8 million to organizations on the front lines for COVID-19 relief, recovery and equitable vaccination efforts for communities in the region of Maryland. The company also covered services that are medically necessary for any of their members that are diagnosed with COVID-19. In October 2021, the company launched CloseKnit, a virtual primary care practice providing a variety of care services including behavioural health services and care coordination.

Responsibilities

• Designed the Mapping Technical Specifications based on Functional Requirements.
• Created ETL mappings using Informatica Power Centre to move Data from multiple sources like Oracle, Flat files into a common target area such as Staging, Data Warehouse and Data Marts.
• Worked on Enhancements of different mappings by using different Transformations like Filter, Aggregator, Lookup, Expression, update Strategy, Joiner, Router etc to load the data into staging tables and then to target.
• Prepared Source to Target mapping (STM) documents for number of mappings.
• Converted SQL scripts from Oracle to Microsoft SQL Server.
• Prepared Unit test cases for the mappings.
• Involved into the preparation of deployment plan which contains list of mappings and workflows they need to migrate bases on this deployment team migrate the code from one environment to another environment.
• Working closely with business and technical teams to understand, document, design and code ETL processes.
