• As a database developer, I'm assigned with tasks to migrate jobs that are scheduled in AUTOSYS, from Linux to DC host.
• On a daily basis, I analyze .jil files, perl scripts and .ftl files and make the necessary changes for the jobs to migrate.
• Conduct tests to identify issues and make necessary modifications.
• Create technical documentation for database technologies, providing updates.
• Coordinate with project management on database development timelines.

UBS (FX INDIGO DB)
FX INDIGO DB is the database repository that is responsible for storing trading data. It comprises of several Sybase servers - WRITE, READ, ARCHIVE, and REPLICATION servers. Several downstream applications connect to the servers to fetch data as per their requirements. There are scheduled jobs in CRONTAB, scripted in SHELL in the Linux machines that generate feeds to the stakeholders (UBS business group). These jobs execute stored procedures/SQL scripts that are embedded within them.

ROLE:

• Daily tasks revolve around working on JIRAs wherein I script SPs from the scratch, enhance and modify.
• Worked on complex queries while analyzing stored procedures as per JIRA requirements.
• Worked on resolving deadlocks.
• Worked on performance tuning of stored procedures.
• Worked on SHELL script so as to embed the stored procedures within, which also comprise a portion of my daily work.
• Packaging and deployment of code to be released.
• Worked on the Agile working model.

Gloss is a real-time, multi-currency, transaction processing, and record-keeping solution for post-execution processing of international securities. It automates the trade processing lifecycle from trade capture to confirmation and settlement, to provide the highest levels of straight-through-processing, and efficient, and timely exception management.

ROLE: As a Sybase Developer, I have

• Scripted, analyzed, debugged, and enhanced stored procedures responsible for the successful processing of the trade lifecycle for GLOSS.
• Analyzed and scripted code snippets in order to resolve bugs/defects.
• Worked on Queue Manager to place trades for unit testing of scripts developed.
• Worked on end-to-end development and testing of a trade for a trade life cycle.
• Worked on TE (Trade Explorer) for integration testing of stored procedures with front-end code.
• Worked on SHELL scripts responsible for calling underlying stored procedures.

Project: PWM Client Reporting

PWM or Private Wealth Management is responsible for managing the wealth of ultra-rich clients. Client Reporting is responsible for sending Statements/Reports to clients of Goldman Sachs which are generated monthly/weekly/bi-weekly.
