  • Performing head-to-tail examinations of animals upon intake - aging by teeth, noting any medical concerns/starting treatment if necessary, vaccinating & deworming, determining if animal can be sent to adoption floor or if should be housed in isolation.
  • Handling animals of all behavior and health levels once entering the intake center (feral cats, behavior dogs, emaciated animals, etc).
  • Determining if animals need behavior modification drugs if necessary prior to vetting, administering after getting approval from DVMs.
