- Preparation of a comparative sheet of quotations received, purchase order processing, and purchase order tracking.
- Assign the material purchase indent to the team members, and ensure that orders are being processed by the team within the stipulated period.
- Identification of potential alternate parts after checking in IPC, CMM, CML, and other manuals, and getting the approval for the same from the material planning team.
- Coordinate with Material Planning and other engineering teams to ensure materials are purchased as per the requirements, and provide the order status of materials ordered to the various stakeholders and end users.
- Coordinate with vendors to provide order acknowledgments, verify order acknowledgments, and monitor the delivery dates. Review the pending order list and coordinate with vendors for the expedition of delivery of pending orders.
- Following up with freight forwarders, customs handling agents, and other logistics providers to ensure the delivery of ordered materials.
- Coordinate with vendors for discrepancies raised by store inspectors, warehouse team, and ensure closure of the same.
Assisting the Invoice/Finance Team with the closure of any pending invoices. - Procurement of parts during an Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situation and ensuring that material is delivered on or before the required date.
- Maintaining the Approved Vendor List (AVL) for the Purchase team, as per the quality procedures.
- The addition of new vendors, monitoring the existing vendor approvals, the expiry of the vendors in the Approved Vendor List (AVL), and the scrutiny of the vendor questionnaire from the Purchase team before sending it to the Quality Department for approval of the vendors in the Approved Vendor List (AVL) are all important tasks.
