Jagnyaraj Patnaik

Myself Jagnayraj, a pre-final year student in mechanical engineering at NIT Rourkela. In recent summer , have done two internships. The first internship was in Croatia technology private limited as a mechanical design intern and the second one in FMAE as a vehicle dynamics intern. Along with this, led team to the final of the FCI hackathon at IIT Delhi this summer only.

• FCI Hackathon by FITT‐IIT Delhi Finalist
• Selected to the final round along with six other teams among 84 sub‐missions
• Developed a 3D model capable of transporting one ton of bags to the desired location using a hydraulic scissor lift.
• Formula Bharat Rule Quiz Qualifier
• Been a part of our institute’s formula one team named RoadRunners and qualified for the offline event of Formula Bharat event with E27.
• Oil Gas Industry Operations and Markets Certified
• Learned an overview of the fundamental aspects of the oil and gas industry, from initial exploration to final transport, and the factors that influence the prices of the oil and gas industry

Ideal Diesel Cycle Simulator(Matlab)

Simulated an ideal diesel cycle using user-driven data to obtain efficiency, torque, and network output and explored the impact of C.R., cut-off ratio, and stroke length on efficiency.

Quarter Car Model(Matlab)

Incorporated advanced knowledge of the quarter car model to optimize vehicle dynamics, suspension design, and ride comfort in developing automotive systems.

Modal Analysis of a Satellite(Ansys)

Performed simulation on a satellite in space experiencing an external vibration in the range of its natural frequency which creates resonance and can cause catastrophic failure.

Working as a mechanical team member in the robotics and automation club of our institute named Cyborg.

Worked as a coordinator of the multi‐ethnic fest of our institute and
managed workshops for teams performing in the fest. 

 My hobbies are riding my bike alone to new places and playing games by myself. I love the excitement of exploring new places on my bike, and I enjoy getting lost in virtual worlds while playing single-player games.
