Responsibilities/Deliverables:
● Designed a Framework using Application Packages to automate most of the configuration work.
● Compare report analysis and upgrade of technologies, from ‘AIX to Linux’, ‘DB2 to Oracle’ and ‘Financials 8.9 to 9.1’. Created Process flow diagrams and Analysis documentation

● Designed and Developed a very efficient, fully configurable Publish and Subscribe process to publish and subscribe the Chartfield and Non-Chartfield related data between PeopleSoft-PeopleSoft and PeopleSoft-Non-PeopleSoft based systems. Implemented several complex algorithms to make the process as fast as possible even after reporting Emergency Changes and any Conflicts in the subscribe.
● Participated in the General Ledger configuration including Chartfield Design, Business Unit and Ledgers Setup, Inter-unit accounting, Journal processing.
● Documented all problems using Microsoft SharePoint tracking system. Documentation included requirements, design, development and testing templates.
Project 3: PeopleSoft Financials implementation FTP V2 (Multiple
Instances – UK, HK and Malaysia)

Responsibilities/Deliverables:
● Performed support for General Ledger and other financial modules by answering questions, providing user and offshore team training, resolving issues and identifying the root cause of the problem.
● Designed and developed a custom tree upload program using PeopleSoft Tree APIs for loading hierarchies generated by a Hyperion System into PeopleSoft.
● Designed and developed a custom and fully configurable file upload utility through which any file could be uploaded into a Record without writing any code. Highly reusable and scalable program with the help of dynamic rules configuration.
● Implemented multithreading and parallel processing using Jobs and JobSet.
● Worked closely with functional colleagues to accommodate many changes to requirements and get the results on time.
● Oversaw testing of all Designed modules.
● Performed support for General Ledger and other financial modules by answering questions, providing user and offshore team training, resolving issues and identifying the root cause of the problem.
● New Programs were written using XML Publisher, several PeopleSoft pages and Application Engine Programs were updated to support process. PeopleCode, Application Packages, Component Interface was used for several modifications. All Batch scripts to process were written using Unix Scripting and job created in Control-M. Reports were done in XML Publisher and SQR.
● Tree Flattener and Denormalizer: Used to simplify tree hierarchies structures. Customized delivered application engine to include new attributes and written an Application Engine to De-normalize the tree with a better approach and algorithm than delivered.
● Designed and Developed a very efficient, fully configurable Publish and Subscribe process to publish and subscribe the Chartfield and Non-Chartfield related data between PeopleSoft-PeopleSoft and PeopleSoft-Non-PeopleSoft based systems. Implemented several complex algorithms to make the process as fast as possible even after reporting Emergency Changes and any Conflicts in the subscribe. It is written in highly reusable and implemented in 4 regions already without any major changes.
● Worked on implementing Connect Direct Setup for transferring files between different Systems.
● Designed and Developed Chunking for existing PeopleSoft pages having low performance due to high volume of data. Instead of loading entire row set at once, pages were customized to load chunks from database after maintaining same functionalities. User can view all rows retrieved from database seamlessly like before by using custom navigation buttons on the page. Chunk size can also be configured by the user at any time.
● Designed Internal Transaction Matching module to identify intra company balances using Application Engine (to perform calculations and matching pairs), XML publisher (reporting) and PeopleSoft Pages (overriding matched pairs).
● Designed and Developed Database Partitioning approach to performance tune several existing underperforming processes.
● Provided technical and overall support to team members in all stages of the project.

Project 4: PeopleSoft General Ledger Implementation for HTSU and

● Participated in the General Ledger configuration including Chartfield Design, Business Unit and Ledgers Setup, Inter-unit accounting, Journal processing.
● Implemented Reconciliation and Responsibility process that insures the integrity and completeness of financial information identifies and escalates emerging control issues.
● Redesigned an Oracle delivered Elimination Set Audit report to enhance performance. (Implemented using SQR)
● Designed a Report to perform the audit of maintenance done by the User in Accounting Rules. Accounting Rules are closely coupled with PeopleSoft Chartfield information and are maintained in PeopleSoft. They are used to segregate and calculate the balances from the transaction data received from several source systems. (XML Publisher and Application Engine)
● Designed and developed the process of getting exchange rates into PS 8.9 System. Oversaw development and testing. Coordinated efforts with functional users.
● Customized PeopleSoft Delivered Journal Entry Module to enable input of custom attributes, enforce custom constraints, High Speed Entry for data entry Operators.
● Customize PeopleSoft Delivered Edit Process to take into account the custom attributes.
