The study investigates the evolution and historical roots of this culture, tracing its political, economic, and psychological impact on the Indian political landscape. It explores how freebies, often presented as welfare schemes, can influence voter behavior and shape election outcomes. I have used the Desk Review methodology to create this research proposal, which helps in collecting relevant data from different sources such as books, academic articles, reports and online databases.
