- Procurement of MIL-qualified components/subsystems, procuring of mechanical and electrical components, cable assemblies, and providing services based on the requirement.
- Selection of vendors based on the MPN, D&E Recommended, and previous procurement history, and maintaining the source list.
- To organize negotiations with the lowest bidder on prices, delivery, terms of payment, or other conditions wherever required through the 'Price Negotiation Committee (PNC)' constituted by the competent authority.
- Procurement of production and developmental items by floating RFQs/Bids, as per company policy.
- Negotiating with suppliers regarding INCO terms, delivery schedule, payment terms, warranty period, bank guarantee, etc.
- Creating and Releasing Purchase Order using SAP, working with approvers to ensure POs are released in a timely manner and within the agreed timeframes.
- File Maintaining, Maintaining Source List, Vendor Evaluation
- Coordinating with departments like Production Control, D&E, Stores, and Quality Control for receipt of PRs, drawings, inward goods receipt, and usage decision (UD).
- Maintain and facilitate vendor master data, setting up new vendors and updating current vendors.
- Follow up with vendors to ensure on-time deliveries of ordered materials, items, and services.
- Measuring, monitoring, and reporting on customer satisfaction and vendor performance, and implementing continuous improvement strategies.
- Maintain and support improvement of the 'Purchase to Pay' process, and maintain the report of PR to PO conversion on a monthly basis.
- Working with finance for payment to MSME vendors, as per MSME policies.
- Enhancing and Updating MM knowledge in line with company policies, which change from time to time and are framed by the Department of Defense Production (DDP).
