Project - Avanade: Technology for operations

As a Functional Architect in the Finance and Accounting domain, I have played a key role in building automation tools to reduce manual efforts for the outsourcing team. Specifically, I've been a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Accenture's Automated Accounts Payable (AAP), Reconsmart, and Collections Workbench tools, which are used for tasks such as invoice processing, reconciliations, and collections within the Finance and Accounting domain.

Here are some key accomplishments and responsibilities:
- Developed a digitization roadmap for processes, policies, data, and system changes to achieve business outcomes.
- Collaborated with stakeholders to build business cases and created portfolio proposals to achieve desired outcomes.
- Led the documentation of business requirements, functional specifications, and other client deliverables.

Project - Avanade: Technology for operations

The scope of work shifted from waterfall to Agile methodology. The tasks included:

1. Provide demos for Automated Accounts Payable, Reconsmart tool, and Collections Workbench to new clients.
2. Gather client requirements on-site
3. Perform FIT-GAP analysis to assess the feasibility of business requirements.
4. Create Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and Functional Design (FD) documents.
5. Secure sign-off from the deal team for production implementation.
6. Develop User stories and prioritize them for sprints.
7. Collaborate with the development and testing teams through brainstorming sessions.
8. Enhance the User Interface of the tool.
9. Conduct functional testing and provide Test team sign-off.
10. Create User Manuals for clients (UAT and post Go-Live) and conduct user training.
11. Obtain Production Sign-off from clients.
12. Evaluate and mentor employees to address skills gaps.
13. Enhance product features based on client requirements.
14. Resolve employee and production issues promptly.
15. Prepare product presentations, demonstration videos.

Project : Disney's PhotoPass

Responsibilities included:
1. Leading the team to meet timelines while maintaining delivery quality.
2. Ensuring requirements are met on time, involving scrum calls with Onshore, status reports, and task assignment based on Offshore priorities.
3. Conducting a walkthrough call with Onshore to define test scenarios for each release, collaborating with the team before scripting tests.
4. Reviewing team-written test scripts and providing suggestions for more valid scenarios to reduce defect rejections.
5. Methodical approach to create effective test cases covering scope, objectives, budget, deadlines, execution schedule, risk identification, and more.
6. Addressing resource and time issues promptly to minimize losses.
7. Managing schedules, accommodating time-off requests, and ensuring shift coverage.

Project: ETS - Educational Testing Service

Responsibilities included:

1. Estimating efforts for Automation, Functional, and Regression Testing.
2. Understanding requirements and participating in walkthrough sessions.
3. Planning tests, assessing automation feasibility, reviewing test scripts, executing tests, reporting defects, and tracking their status.
4. Collaborating with project managers, developers, and customers to resolve technical issues.
5. Led the software testing initiative as the subject matter expert and the primary point of contact for project management.
6. Developed testing methodology, including test plans, debugging, testing scripts, and tools.
7. Trained and mentored junior developers and engineers, focused on automation testing with QTP and functional testing to enhance team performance.
8. Working with development teams to address issues and execute test scenarios.

9. Promoting transparent and respectful communication in all interactions.
10. Documenting specifications, testing methods, and other ETS project information in technical manuals.

Project: ECM - Electronic Cash Management, Vscan and Union Bank
- Goal: Facilitate secure fund transfers between Union Bank and other domestic and international banks.
- Responsibilities:
1. Estimating efforts for Automation, Functional, and Regression Testing.
2. Understanding requirements and participating in walkthrough sessions.
3. Test planning, assessing test automation feasibility, reviewing test scripts, executing tests, defect reporting, tracking defect status, and reporting to the client.
4. Selecting the most suitable test scenarios for automation to maximize the return on investment.

5. Executing test scripts using QTP and generating execution reports in HPQC.
6. Conducting unit testing, system testing using QTP, and user acceptance testing in HPQC.
7 Migrating test scripts from QTP to HPQC for batch processing and defect tracking.
