I am currently employed as a Data Scientist (Consultant) at the OSPF-NIAS Drug Discovery Lab, located within the National Institute of Advanced Studies on the IISc Campus in Bangalore. I hold a recently completed Ph.D. in 'Design, Feature Selection, and Validation of Anti-Leishmaniasis Drug Leads' from Bharathiar University, where my research spanned a spectrum of disciplines including chemistry, medicinal chemistry, chemoinformatics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning—all integrated to advance early-stage drug discovery.
My academic journey has been enriched by active participation in numerous national and international seminars, culminating in the publication of 7 articles in prestigious journals. Notably, I assumed a pivotal role in the CSIR-OSDD Drug Discovery Unit's Open Source Drug Discovery initiative, stationed at the IISc Campus in Bangalore.
Currently, my research focus centers on harnessing artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to explore their potential applications within India's traditional medicine systems.
I am presently employed as a Consultant Data Scientist specializing in Computational Chemistry and Chemoinformatics. In this capacity, my responsibilities involve conducting in-silico analyses to assess the druggability of phytochemicals found in traditional and herbal medicines. This work encompasses the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques.
I undertook the role of a Research Fellow at the OSPF-NIAS Drug Discovery Lab, situated within the National Institute of Advanced Studies (NIAS) at the IISc Campus in Bangalore. This engagement was conducted as a component of my Ph.D. registration at Bharathiar University.
Served as a Research Fellow within the scope of the project titled 'Repositioning Diverse Chemical Classes for Virtual Screening Against Anti-TB Targets,' as part of the esteemed TATA-CSIR-OSDD Fellowship program.
I served as a Senior Project Fellow for a project titled 'Molecular Property Diagnostic Suit (MPDS) for Drug Discovery' at the CSIR-OSDD Research Unit, located on the IISc campus in Bangalore. My primary responsibility involved the development of a software module for the MPDS, designed to effectively filter molecules exhibiting promiscuous characteristics in the context of drug discovery.
