  • Position Risk Transfer Control - PRTC team as a whole deals with daily management of Interest rate and foreign exchange risks arising from various monetary transactions across the world. The risk mitigation or valuations is an internal control aspect of HSBC, hence we are a part of the middle office group which helps control this space on certain set principles.
  • Data Analyzing- We export reports for reconciliations using MS Access. We will have to check the access if the data is ready and run the report using GUI . It pulls data from Multiple sources/ applications such as Ondemand and HUB.
  • Fixing the issues when GUI get some issues such as changing the codes and Updating the VBA codes. Updating the changes in templates.
  • Retrieving the input data from SQL using query for running IR buy in for EMEA sites.
  • Categorized and Worked on assigned regions such as EMEA , MENA and APAC sites in both IR and FX monitoring space.
  • Performed the daily deliverable cycle from the point of acquiring data through various sources, processing of raw data through tools and publishing it in meaning full form for further reconciliation.
  • Monitored and highlighted day to day IR and FX risk exposure to the concerned stake holders and internal control departments.
  • Prepared and delivered country wise daily HUB vs TREATS reports across sites and their reconciliations to concerned parties.
  • Ensuring a smooth transfer of IR and FX risks from the retail banking to treasury management.
  • Maintaining standardized practices and procedures while performing all reconciliation activities.
  • Setting up Process documents for performing each site deliverable and assigning an investigation procedure in times of exception or mismatch.
  • Setting up of adequate control checks and thresholds breach policies for a better accurate process.
  • Making sure every IR and FX deliverable goes through 4 eye review check by the level 1 reviewer before the deliverable is sent out by the preparer.
  • Maintaining an issue log for tracking Issues or exceptions arising out of daily reconciliations and monitoring their ageing process for timely escalation to stake holders.
  • Planning and building the book of work according to specific time zones and delivering each SLA on time.
  • Maintaining a clear and continuous communication channel between both back end data providers and front end relationship managers to ensure smooth and timely transfer of data and information
  • Conduct yearly threshold review and other control checks for all sites in order to ensure reduced redundancy in daily deliverables.
  • Taking up or being a part of cross training activities to further enhance knowledge by increasing the fungibility aspect within the team.
  • Provided inputs on automation of certain monotonous tasks in order to reduce FTE hours for daily IR and FX process.
  • Taking part in daily team huddles to discuss updates or highlight any escalation regarding IR and FX risk.
  • Running End of day check lists to make sure all the deliverables have been sent out on time, there by making sure that risk is managed on a daily basis in IR or FX domain.
