With a diverse background in the tourism sector, I have transitioned from a smiling airport representative to a key administrator and promoter of tourism development in Kerala. Equipped with valuable experience and knowledge, I am prepared to contribute to the growth and success of any organization. Born in 1980 into a family with a banking background, I pursued a Master of Tourism Administration from Pondicherry University in 2003. Throughout my career, I have honed skills in itinerary planning, package costing, client relations, event organization, and project management within the tourism industry. Recent roles as Secretary at District Tourism Promotion Councils in Kannur and Idukki have allowed me to lead impactful projects enhancing tourism potential, such as the Thalassery Heritage Project Malabar Malanad River Cruise tourism initiative and Public Private participation projects. Collaborating with consulting firms like KPMG and CBRE, I am dedicated to driving sustainable tourism growth and creating memorable experiences for travelers worldwide.

  • Company Overview: District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC) is a Government organization under Department of tourism which has the main objective of promoting tourism in each district. Each district in Kerala has DTPCs and Idukki DTPC is one of the best DTPCs in the state with most number of staffs and most productive units operated.
  • Identifying and implementing new projects that will increase the tourism potential of the district.
  • Preparation of master plans for the tourism development.
  • Coordination between various Government departments for the execution of projects.
  • Conducting seminars and exhibitions for tourism stake holders and potential investors.
  • Conducting annual stage programs and cultural programs as per Government instruction.
  • Handling the day to day activities of the firm.
  • Responsible for staff management, office accounting and overall management of the firm.
  • Introduced Public Private Participation model in Idukki DTPC, which was first of its kind in Kerala.
  • Vagamon Adventure Park which attracted only 3000 – 4000 visitors a month changed to 70000 – 80000 a month after building Glass Bridge on PPP model.
  • Initiated Electric charging stations in all major DTPC units to attract more tourists and to ensure environmental protection of the natural beauty of the district which the district is famous for.
