  • Began working as a school counselor at Bluffton Harrison MSD working with students K-12. In 2002 I began working solely at the high school. In 2009 I became the Guidance Director until my retirement in June 2024.
  • As a high school counselor my role was to address the academic, social, and emotional needs of the students.
  • A primary duty was to be sure that students were scheduled for the appropriate courses to ensure graduating on time.
  • Developed plans with students, parents, and teachers to help students in meeting their goals by identifying and addressing needs.
  • Served on committees in the community in representing and organizing events that involved high school students.
  • Coordinated and organized all required state testing for high school students.
