I lead a team of 6 to 8 accounts professionals, overseeing core finance operations with a strong focus on accounts payable, financial reporting, budgeting, audits, and compliance. My leadership ensures efficient financial management and timely execution of all accounting functions across the organization.
I am well-versed in SAP FI/CO methodology, having served as a core team member during the organization’s SAP R/3 (Version 6EE) implementation in 2009–10. My involvement spanned the full lifecycle—from requirement gathering, blueprinting, gap analysis, configuration, testing, go-live, and support. This hands-on experience with SAP and deep domain expertise in finance have enabled me to streamline processes, support automation initiatives, and align finance systems with strategic business goals.
From January 2009 to 2024, I worked as an SAP FI/CO Consultant on the Pearl Project for Zee Media Corporation Ltd (Essel Group), playing a key role in the implementation and post-go-live support of SAP R/3 (Version 6EE) As part of a 6–7 member core team, I was responsible for studying existing financial processes and configuring SAP modules such as General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Fund Management, Internal Orders, and CO-Profitability Analysis to align with business requirements
My responsibilities included providing on-call support for period-end and year-end closings, resolving functional issues in the FI/CO modules, and developing detailed functional specifications for current and future business needs I configured and customized FI processes to support seamless financial operations and acted as a bridge between the finance team and the technical team, ensuring that SAP solutions met organizational goals My involvement helped improve system efficiency and ensured smooth financial reporting across the organization
