I grew up in an agriculture based family where I learned responsibility at an early age. I was expected to help out and contribute on the farm in any number of jobs and situations. I operated farm equipment and took care of livestock every day. I also grew up the son of a veterinarian, making farm calls and assisting with the treatment of various animals. I learned how to run a business and deal with people as I grew up.
I worked at a lumber mill where I operated forklifts and assisted customers. I learned inventory management and the importance of keeping merchandise stocked and rotating.
I was a Deputy Sheriff with 35 years of experience in a rural / suburban environment and I was committed to maintaining high levels of integrity and organization. My years of experience, coupled with guidance from excellent role models, taught me how to remain calm and focused in stressful situations. During my career I became proficient with the operation of different computer platforms and programs.
