Summary

I grew up in an agriculture based family where I learned responsibility at an early age. I was expected to help out and contribute on the farm in any number of jobs and situations. I operated farm equipment and took care of livestock every day. I also grew up the son of a veterinarian, making farm calls and assisting with the treatment of various animals. I learned how to run a business and deal with people as I grew up.

I worked at a lumber mill where I operated forklifts and assisted customers. I learned inventory management and the importance of keeping merchandise stocked and rotating.

I was a Deputy Sheriff with 35 years of experience in a rural / suburban environment and I was committed to maintaining high levels of integrity and organization. I feel I was a proven leader with great and detail-oriented observation skills. My years of experience, coupled with guidance from excellent role models, taught me how to remain calm and focused in stressful situations. During my career I became proficient with the operation of different computer platforms and programs.

I am currently employed as an investigator with the Indiana Horse Racing Commission where I utilize computers everyday in the course of investigations.
