- I head the Supply Chain Operations of India. Intersnack Cashew India Private Limited has two factories based in Tuticorin, Tamilnadu and Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh
- I handle the entire Imports, Exports, Logistics and Warehouse operations
- I co-ordinate with our Procurement team in Africa for the whereabouts of our raw material shipment, notify the CHA, plan, and clear the cargo
- Ensure the necessary space is kept ready in the warehouse by coordinating with the warehouse team for arrival of imports
- I take care of all the logistics related activities between factories, container movements and always look for ways to save cost through transportation
- Performing total landed cost analysis and recommending optimal shipping methods, carriers, and routing to meet transportation parameters, delivery specifications and costs
- Handled Breakbulk Clearance
- Handled Re-Import shipment
- Defining import and export SOP’s and evaluating freight forwarder, transporter to ensure legal and regulatory compliance
- Arranging survey / inspection certificates from the vendors
- Claimed and transferred MEIS Scrips, Advance License Redemption certificates from DGFT
- Apply for Status holder certificate, RCMC certificates (FIEO, CEPCI, APEDA, FSSAI)
- I clear most of our imports via Advance Authorisation License scheme and handle all the DGFT related activities
- I also ensure shipments that are cleared via LDC certificates are done hassle free and I constantly follow up with the shipper to maintain the same
- Delicately handle all Customs and DGFT related activities and ensure a smooth relationship is maintained
- Coordinate with the production team of both the factories and accordingly plan export shipments for the month
- Strategically plan container bookings for the month and keep track of freight rates
- I coordinate with our CHA for vessel and A-Grade container planning and ensure customer does not face any issues while clearing the shipment
- I coordinate with QA team to ensure all the relevant test reports and certificates are sent with the shipment
- I handle both pre-shipment and post-shipment related documentation
- I keep track of invoices and prepare reports
- I also ensure that shipments are in compliance with the laws and regulations governing the export industry
- I update our overseas Supply chain team and Directors on a regular basis of our Import and
- Export related activities and keep track of all the data
- Constantly update the Local Management Team of our Supply Chain whereabouts
- I negotiate freight with the logistics supplier and liners to save costs
