• Contributed to the development of embedded firmware in C using FreeRTOS on an Arm Cortex-M3 microcontroller to interface with sensor and send the data to cloud platforms such as AWS IoT.
• Developed data acquisition logic to read sensor values at defined intervals and apply preprocessing like filtering and threshold detection for features like motion detection and flight mode detection.
• Integrated CoAP and HTTP protocols into embedded device firmware to enable secure TLS/SSL-based data transmission over Wi-Fi, GTP, and cellular networks to cloud platforms.
• Implemented secure APIs in device logging store, forward and upload with optimised memory and conducted testing on physical hardware to validate sensor readings, connectivity, and edge side logic.
• Handled automated tool for firmware build, signing and flashing process of IoT device using Python script.
• Utilized UART/USB protocols for communication between sensor and microcontroller and performed flashing and debugging of firmware onto the hardware.
• Handled firmware over the air (FOTA) updates for seamless remote deployment.
