Job Description
Rig Operation: I was responsible for the efficient and safe operation of drilling equipment and machinery on the offshore rig. This includes overseeing the drilling process, monitoring equipment performance, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures.
Well Control: I ensured the safety and integrity of the well that is of utmost importance. I was responsible for maintaining proper well control procedures, monitoring wellbore conditions, and taking corrective actions to prevent and respond to any potential well control issues.
Team Leadership: As a member of the drilling team, I was responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of the crew. This involves providing guidance, instructions, and training to ensure smooth operations and adherence to company policies.
Safety and Emergency Preparedness: Ensuring the safety of personnel and equipment is paramount. I was needed to actively promote and enforce safety procedures, conduct regular safety drills, and be prepared to respond to emergencies promptly and effectively.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting: I was responsible for routine maintenance and inspections of drilling equipment. Additionally, I was able to identify and resolve technical issues or malfunctions that may arise during drilling operations.
