Project Name: Saving Brains (A Project of Grand Challenges Canada & Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation)

Objective: To assess the neurodevelopmental outcomes at age 7-9 years of a study cohort that was enrolled at birth in a cluster randomized controlled trial to assess the impact of a preventive package of essential newborn care practices on neonatal mortality rate (NMR), in Shivgarh, India.

Primary responsibilities and key role:

• Monitor the evaluation team
• Developing app based tools for neurodevelopmental assessment
• Design tool for motor proficiency test of children
• Lead the pathology (clinical health) team
