Specialist in IEC 61439 – International standard for Low voltage Switchgear & Controlgear Assemblies 

This standard has brought considerable clarity in technical interpretation for all OEM & Panel Builders & Panel Building industries


IEC 61439 Part 1 – General Rules for the Low voltage Switchgear & Controlgear Assemblies.

Expert in Panel building industry, Worked with leading panel builders in Chennai area for the integration of Legrand, Schneider, ABB & Siemens switchgear Products. I was part of technical comitte in leading panel building division to execute type test procedures & design validation for Low voltage Control Panels. 


IEC 61439 Part 2 - Power switchgear and controlgear assemblies.

This standard covers important segment of control panels, I have excellent knowledge on LV Panels upto 6300A, 70KA stc. In general, these panels act as Main Power Distribution panels followed by Sub distributions. Key features includes forms of separation, type of locking facility, these panels are mainly intended to operate by Skilled technicians. Panel design ensures 100% safety while O&M activities.


I have experience in both Metallic & Non Metallic Control panels in this same IEC 61439 standard. I can handle both the MOC, this gives me an advantage to recommend perfect product to the right customer based on Environmental conditions & Customer requirements.

IEC 61439 Part 3 – Distribution Boards intended to operate by ordinary people. 

Most popular product among power distribution system, Readymade distribution boards, easy to assemble, install and operate. Double Insulation ensures electrical safely, to be designed in such a way that any layman can operate these distribution boards. Popular OEM such as Legrand, Schneider & L&T has own product range to cover this readymade DB product range. 


IEC 61439 Part 4 – Power Distribution Boards for Construction sites (Temporary Distribution Bords)

These distribution boards are designed to operate in Construction sites, most commonly designed as plug and Socket Distribution boards. It powers to construction tools such as welding machines, Drilling tools, Crushers etc.. Local Panel builders manufacture these product at very competitive price. However, Hensel Enycon Model is my favorite which is more safe and very conventional to use


IEC 61439 Part 5 – Power distribution for Public cable network areas (Feeder Pillar Boxes)

I worked as Product Manager for power distribution system, especially for this particular range of product where our motive to introduce Quality products to state electricity power distribution companies. These assemblies are designed in such a way to over come all the public disturbances such as external impact, Electrical safety & outdoor environment conditions. I worked for Poland company M/s Emitter, one of the leading manufacturer of GRP enclosures for feeder pillar applications. This particular product has excellent market towards conversion of overhead to underground cabling systems. Participated more Government tender and worked with TANGEDCO, TSSPDCL & Reliance Power for product promotion. 


IEC 61439 Part 6 – Busbar trunking systems (busways)

This standard specifies the design and construction of bus trunking systems, also called as bus ducts. Sandwich type insulated busducts are very famous in the market, all leading Electrical OEM has bus ducts as separate product line. I’m currently working as a Territory sales Manager in Legrand – Bus ducts. One of the leading world class bus duct manufacturer in india. This brand covers entire power distribution voltage level from 25A upto 6300A rated current. 


Medium voltage power distribution systems


Specialist in Standard IEC 62271-200 – High-voltage switchgear and controlgear - AC metal-enclosed switchgear and controlgear for rated voltages above 1 kV and up to and including 52 kV. 

 This standard covers design and verification of HT power distribution up to 52KV, I have rich experience on handling HT VCB Panels 3.3KV to 33KV system. Worked as sales Manager as well as technical representative for meeting consultant & end users to understanding the customer requirements in possible ways and help them with our customized solutions.
