- I worked on Fincache project in Edge-Verve, where Fincache is a common inter-process distributed memory cache solution with which finacle/non-finacle applications can consume data produced by each other/self
- Fincache application reduces the number of round trips calls to database and reduces the current number of get calls to the database
- The main purpose of the Fincache is to give a performant way to fetch data from cache and decrease load on database
- Fincache supports Rest API’s to retrieve the data in JSON data structure
- Fincache Object is the data structure used to access the cache
- It has a defined unique name across all Finacle applications
- Each object is owned by either a Finacle Business application or Finacle Infrastructure and published as a contract along with the API’s
- Backward compatibility of these contracts should be ensured by the owners of the objects
