Implementations

1. S/4 Hana 2023 with Fiori addon

• Worked on provisioning of application and database Servers (VM size/OS build/storage selection/Networking).
• Installation of SAP S/4 HANA instances (HANA DB/Message server/Application server) with standalone DB setup for Non-production Environment and High available/Disaster recovery for Production environment.
• Cluster configuration for ASCS/ERS and additional installation of AAS and web- dispatcher with E2E SSL HTTPS configuration
• Post installation procedures like local client copy, Security parameter and PSE certificate management.
• Additional DB patch upgrade, HANA DB add on installation.
• Support pack upgrade for S/4 HANA to a target patch with the SUM tool using standard configuration (Shadow instance).
• Configured cloud connector and data provisioning agent ensuring high availability for production.

2. Upgrade activities

DB Upgrade:

• performed revision upgrades (HANA 2 SPS 05 to 07) and additional components upgrade and Oracle SBP patch to 19.24
• knowledge on HANA Release upgrades

Application Upgrades :

• performed SPS upgrades on SAP ERP, SAPBW, SAPCRM, HR synch pack upgrades on SAP HCM,
• perfomed SP and JVM patching via SUM on SAP PO.
• STPI/API component patching via SPAM/SAINT.
• Knowledge on EHP release upgrade.

3. Refresh activities:

• Refresh of production data to a existing sandbox:

A. restore the DB with production data backup

B. configuring hdbuserstore, installing new license to ensure connectivity with application.

C. post refresh activities like RZ10,sm61, BDLS etc..

• Refresh of production data to a new sandbox:

A. Provisioned a New target server with cloned disk attached from source server.

B. OS build with proper Filesystem mounted followed by Manual System renaming (DB+Application)

C. Manual reconfiguration of SAP profiles , DB connectivity details, DNS addition and User profiles.

4. Migration activities:

System migration from Cloud to On-premise:

A. Cloned the Application server and OS user/File system configuration.

B. Performed cutover via Replication takeover from primary to secondary for HANA and Oracle DB

C. Post cutover activities like DNS update, Hypercare monitoring and validation from business users.

Products Migrated - SAP CRM/HCM/HR Payroll.

Roles and Responsibilities

• SAP BASIS Fundamentals and Technical Expertise: Strong understanding and application of BASIS fundamentals - SAP on Azure/On-prem, ABAP/Java, Linux/Windows, Oracle/HANA DBA.
• Good working knowledge in S/4HANA, SAP ERP, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP PI/PO, SAP NetWeaver, SAP MES, SAP JAVA..etc
• Windows and Linux administration (RHEL and SLES) for SAP products.
• Sound knowledge in HANA DB 2/3 tier HA/DR setup and performed Disaster recovery setup for HANA DB (Standalone and Scale out systems).
• Performed Disaster recovery Drills as a part of DR setup testing.
• Ensuring system availability, performance tuning, troubleshooting and RCA, P1 outage handling.
• SAP Focused Run Proficient in SAP Focused setups for technical monitoring scenarios and onboarding systems to FRUN.OS/ABAP/JAVA/HANA DB level configuration setup for monitoring.
• Sound knowledge in STMS configuration, Diagnostic agent administration for Solution manager monitoring.
• Parameter management, SAP SNOTE TCI configuration,OSS notes implementation, Client copy, Agent upgrade and installations.
• Technical Consulting and Customer Engagement: Provided technical expertise and consulting support to SAP customers.
• HANA DB performance tuning,Oracle DB table re-org and tablespace management.
