Project Description:

Led the Agile delivery of HDFC Life’s web and mobile portal revamp to enhance customer experience, self-service features, and policy management accessibility. The project involved revamping the existing portal UI/UX, integrating with core policy systems, and adding features like premium payment, claim status tracking, and chatbot support.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitated Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives) for a cross-functional team of nine (Developers, QA, UI/UX, BA).

• Collaborated closely with the Product Owner and Business Stakeholders to prioritize the backlog and deliver incremental, customer-facing features every sprint.

Tracked sprint velocity, maintained burndown charts, and ensured sprint goals were achieved using JIRA and Confluence.

• Removed impediments related to backend service dependencies, and coordinated with legacy platform teams.

• Ensured the team followed secure development practices and compliance standards (IRDAI, GDPR, audit logs).

Helped the team transition from waterfall to Agile practices by conducting Agile training sessions and introducing the Definition of Done/Ready.

Key Projects:

Live Class Delivery & Engagement Optimization: Managed Agile delivery for real-time live class features, video streaming optimization, and interactive tools. Used Scrum and Kanban to streamline sprint execution, improve cycle time, and ensure cross-functional collaboration for release readiness. Responsibility: Facilitated Scrum ceremonies, and ensured time-boxed, outcome-driven meetings for faster sprint execution. Collaborated with the Product Owner to define high-priority backlog items, mainly around live streaming quality, interactive quizzes, chat moderation, and class recording features. Used Jira to track sprints, maintain burndown charts, and report delivery metrics. Supported the development of features like real-time polling, live quiz integration, attendance tracking, and post-class performance insights. Proactively identified blockers, managed sprint dependencies, and collaborated with platform and infrastructure teams for performance tuning. Conducted regular retrospectives to promote continuous improvement in delivery and collaboration. Managed release planning and stakeholder demos for new versions of the live class module. Ensured features adhered to the Definition of Done (DoD), with complete QA sign-off and live environment validation.
