• Worked in the Risk Management Team where the Bank wanted to store, process & manage the huge amount of data in day-to-day operations collected from various sources.
• Developed a Spark job that reads parquet files from different source tables in hive, process the collected data, store them to the HDFS and make them query able via HIVE.
• Worked on various Transformations & Actions according to the requirements of the client based on Risk Indicator Ids. Used transformations like Group By, Coalesce, Rank functions etc and jpins like Left, Inner and Broadcast Join etc
• Was responsible for Optimizing the Spark Job that helped in saving Cost to the project.
• Extensively used Spark optimization techniques in order to bring efficiency.
• Managed production release, monitored production and provided support for data consumers.
• Technologies: Spark, Python, Spark SQL, Hive, Postgresql, AWS and Hadoop.
• Used Control-M as scheduler in order to automatically schedule the jobs be it monthly or daily.
• Used Maven as build tool, GitHub for Version Controlling and Jenkins for Integration.
