Description: SAP HEC (HANA Enterprise Cloud) is a managed, private cloud hosting service for SAP HANA and its related applications.
SAP provides the infrastructure and managed SAP HEC services. The cloud service hosts SAP Business Suite software, which includes SAP HANA custom and out-of-the-box applications and SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse software, on a single instance of the SAP HANA in-memory database platform. This move was made to offer customers an easier, more comprehensive way to deploy SAP HANA compared to on-premises HANA deployments.

HANA administration

• As part of DB LLD team, provide assistance to L2 team with resolution, conduct KT sessions, work of POC and provide on call support.
• Working on services requests,incidents, alerts along with KBA creation for new issues identified
• Completed POC on backup encryption and created various internal documents
• Installing, Upgrading HANA cockpit and adding system to HANA cockpit
• Housekeeping of database,backup, cleaning up of traces after specific retention period
• HANA DB host renaming, SID renaming and instance renaming and DST Time zone changes
• Troubleshooting backup & recovery, memory, CPU utilization and performance issues and providing RCA
• Parameter changes and configuring traces to analyze and optimize HANA performance for performance tuning
• Troubleshooting HANA database analyzing trace files, blocked transactions, long running threads, canceled or rolled back transactions.
• Implementing and maintaining database security (creating & maintaining users and roles, assigned privileges.).
• Data Volume and Log volume reclaim in case of log full/ Data volume full situations
• Enabling HANA data and log volume encryption.
• Setting up replication for tier-2 and tier-3 landscapes.
• Table partitioning, partition redistribution, housekeeping and table management
• Securing data in transition using TLS/SSL with in database certificates, self signed certificates, configure certificate for trust validation
• Creating audit policy and enabling auditing at database level

Basis Administration

• Installation of various SAP products such as ECC, NetWeaver AS ABAP and JAVA, Portals
• Performing Kernel Upgrade, Support Pack , Add-Ons and OSS note implementation
• Configured SLT server replication setup wherein ECC as source system
• Performed OSS Activities like registering developer & object key, open connection for SAP etc
• Generated EWA Reports and performed analysis

• Experience in restore & recovery of HANA DB residing on AWS, Azure Server, SAP HEC server
• Installing, Configuring and Upgrading HANA database server software on multi node and replication systems
• Generating and applying SAP HANA licenses from SMP
