Driven by a passion for biotechnology, I leveraged my expertise in protein analysis and leadership at the Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology, enhancing hydrogel biomedical applications. My adaptability and team collaboration skills, honed at Red Rooster and The University of Queensland, underpin my success in pioneering solutions and mentoring peers.
As an MSc Biotechnologist, I bring expertise in molecular biology techniques, including PCR, gel electrophoresis, and gene editing (CRISPR-Cas9), along with cell culture, transfection, and stem cell differentiation. I am skilled in protein purification, Western blotting, ELISA, and enzymatic assays, complemented by experience with advanced analytical tools like HPLC, mass spectrometry, and microscopy. My bioinformatics capabilities span NGS data analysis, molecular modeling, and statistical tools like R and GraphPad Prism. Additionally, I have hands-on experience in bioprocessing, bioreactor operations, and downstream purification for biologics. Proficient in developing biomaterials, including hydrogels and drug delivery systems, I am well-versed in quality assurance, GMP compliance, and lab management, ensuring efficient and reliable research outcomes.
I am a quick learner with strong adaptability, excelling in balancing academic and professional responsibilities. Skilled in teamwork, communication, and problem-solving, I bring leadership experience, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to delivering high-quality results in diverse settings.
As a research student I have worked on the development of sulfoxide-based hydrogels for advanced biomedical applications. My focus is on harnessing their unique properties—such as high hydrophilicity, controlled swelling, and anti-fouling capabilities—to improve drug delivery systems, wound healing, and tissue engineering scaffolds. This research aims to enhance hydrogel performance in medical settings by creating biocompatible, effective solutions for sustained drug release and drug delivery.
