• Assist customers at every stage of protection, control and automation system, start-up, commissioning of equipment & configuration, planned maintenance, presentation of engineering projects/programs.
• Perform function testing of substation control circuits on relay panel.
• Develop relay macros and testing routines with confirmation of proper protection and control design.
• Perform end-to-end relay testing using relay test software, and analyze operation of relay based on fault type run.
• Routine Testing and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) of Numerical Transformer Differential relay, Numerical Distance protection relay, Numerical Line differential relay, Numerical Generator protection relay, Numerical busbar protection relay, Numerical Over current and Earth fault relay and BCU.
• Testing and integration of ABB MicroSCADA pro for Substation automation.
• Configuration, testing & commissioning of protection and control systems with IEC 61850 utilizing multi-vendor products.
• Drive FAT and SAT with various customers like PGCIL, NEPCO Jordan, NTPC, KPTCL, RELIANCE, TATA POWER, ADANI, and GETCO.
• Co-ordination with Project Management, Engineering, Design, Quality, Product team to deliver panels/systems as per project schedule.
• Performing functional testing and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Conducting Dielectric test @2.5kV/5kV & insulation resistance Tests.
• Checking of control circuits, Auxiliary Functions, Checking of Interlocks, logics, Annunciation sequence, Relays, PC, Earthing Continuity Check, Wiring Check, Dimensional Check, Adhesive Check, Paint Thickness.
• Preparation of complete test documentations as well as type-test reports.
• Involve/Provide support to Product Team during Product-Related issue.
• Create and execute test plan to make sure electrical design to meet product specification and industry standard.
• Working in safe manner in accordance with established operating practices.
• Support Product and manufacturing engineers for on-going developments.
• Engineering and Testing of complete Interlocking schemes.
• Ensure Protection, Control and Metering related documentation is up to date.
• Ensure adequate testing is passed before delivery of system to site, including review protocols and attendance to periodic inspections and FAT.
