Study on defects in Barmill products, Dr. M. Srinivasa Prasad, RINL (Rashtiya Ispat Nigam Limited) Visakhapatnam Steel plant, 5, We study the defects present in re-bars and plains which are produced in the light and medium merchant mills. Re-bars are used in concrete applications, by adding these re-bars to the concrete it will get tensile load bearing capabilities and plains are used in making of machine shafts. The main defects in the Bar mill products are lap, fin, out of tolerance and guide mark these were we studied by using perato analysis.
