Safety, Compliance, and Regulations
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international EHS regulations (OSHA)
- Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and guidelines in the warehouse.
- Conduct EHS audits and inspections to identify risks and non-compliance.
2. Risk Assessment and Incident Prevention.
- Identify potential hazards and risks in warehouse operations (fire, chemical handling, ergonomics, etc.).
- Implement risk mitigation strategies and conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
- Ensure proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage.
3. Emergency Preparedness and Response.
- Develop and conduct emergency response plans for fire, spills, natural disasters, etc.
- Organize fire drills, evacuation drills, and first-aid training for employees.
- Coordinate with local authorities and emergency services if needed.
4. Training and Awareness Programs
- Conduct EHS training sessions for warehouse staff on safety protocols, hazardous material handling, and ergonomics.
- Promote a safety culture through awareness campaigns and toolbox talks.
5. Accident Investigation and Reporting.
- Investigate and document workplace accidents, near misses, and injuries.
- Develop corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent future incidents.
- Maintain EHS records and reports for internal and regulatory compliance.
6. Environmental Management.
- Monitor and ensure waste management, pollution control, and energy efficiency.
- Ensure proper disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
- Implement sustainable practices to reduce environmental impact.
7. Equipment and Facility Safety
- Ensure safe operation and maintenance of warehouse equipment (MHEs).
- Verify proper storage and labeling of hazardous materials.
- Ensure the warehouse infrastructure is safe and well-maintained.
8. Liaison and Reporting.
- Act as a liaison between management, employees, and regulatory authorities on EHS matters.
- Provide EHS performance reports to senior management, and recommend improvements.
9. Health and Wellness Programs
- Implement occupational health initiatives (ergonomics, hygiene, and wellness programs).
Ensure compliance with occupational health standards, and medical surveillance.
