  • Experienced Military person serving since 2010 in Indian Naval Warships and Submarines as an Electrical Artificier/Electronics Engineer carrying out various duties onboard like Electrical Department Regulator, Training Master Chief in Naval Training Establishment .In the Indian Navy, the role of an Electrical Artificer (EA) is crucial for maintaining and ensuring the operational readiness of various electrical and electronic systems on board naval ships and submarines. Here’s a breakdown of responsibilities:
    1. Maintenance of Electrical Systems:

    Power Generation and Distribution: Maintainied the ship’s electrical power generation systems, including generators, switchboards and distribution networks.
    Lighting Systems: Ensured that all lighting systems, including emergency lighting,Navigational Lights are functional.
    Electrical Machinery: This includes DC/AC motors, Hydraulic Power units/pumps, and other electrical equipment that are vital for the ship’s operation.
    2. Maintenance of Electronic Systems:

    Navigation Equipment: Worked on the maintenance of navigation systems such as Navigational and tracking radar, Sonar MGK 400(Russian Sonar)/ Sonar USHUS ,Auxillary Sonars, GPS, and other electronic navigation aids.
    Communication Systems: Worked for the upkeep of various communication systems, including radios, satellite communication equipment, and internal communication networks onboard warships and Submarines.
    Weapon Systems/ Ships Steering Control System: Maintained electronic control systems for weaponry like Fire control systems and steering control system for ensuring that they are operational when needed.
    3. Troubleshooting and Repairs:

    • Diagnosed issues in electrical and electronic systems, perform repairs, and ensure that all systems are back online in minimal time for operational requirement of Ships/Submarines.
    • Worked on both preventive maintenance and emergency repairs to minimize downtime on electrical systems.
    4. Operational Support:

    • During operations, monitored electrical and electronic systems to ensure everything functions correctly.
    • Provide technical support to other crew members and ensured that all electrical systems are operating within safe parameters.
    5. Training and Supervision:

    • Being a Senior most Electrical Artificers I also involved inimparting training to juniors in electrical and electronic maintenance.
    • Supervise a team of junior artificers and other technical staff, ensuring that all maintenance tasks are carried out efficiently and safely.
    6. Continuous Learning:

    • Given the evolving technology, I continually update in aquaring knowledge and skills to work with the latest electrical and electronic systems.

    7. Safety and Compliance:

    • Being a senior most EA (Electrical Artificier) ensured that all electrical work complies with safety standards and protocols, crucial for preventing accidents on board.

    8. Fire Fighting and Security:
  • In the Indian Navy, Trained in NBCD ( Nuclear, Biological, Chemical Damage control) and Fire Fighting as part of Operational Readiness of ships and submarines along with knowledge of Fire Fighting Equipments at Indian Naval NBCD School.
  • As a combat Force, Trained in handling and operation of Arms and Ammuniation.

9. Managment/ Administration:

  • Being a Senior Most Electrical Artificier, Lead whole electrical department about 80 personnel for their admin issues and operational requirements.
  • Assisted with day-to-day operations, working efficiently and productively with all team members.
  • Being a Combat Force,Managed time efficiently in order to complete all tasks within deadlines.
