    • Started as a Method topic , was instrumental in developing Seat Co-operation for whole MB-AG cars. Now, it is a Team of 6 engineers operating as (Seat CoC) Center of Competence for NVH function and serves tailored seats to most of the running carlines including new electric platforms. It involves supplier interaction with BTV's(Design) and other stake holders like full vehicle NVH simulation for not meeting component level Targets. Tasks involved are getting right information like BOM from different seat component suppliers like Headrest, seat structure, Foam and assemble the full seat and share these models to desired stake holders inside of MB-AG. Perform basic and advanced simulations to make sure to deliver right models.
    • Mentoring the Topic of Seat Belt retractor(Gurtaufroller) for all carlines. It also involves supplier interaction with BTV's(Design) and other stake holders like full vehicle NVH simulation for not meeting component level Targets . Results will be presented in front of Chief Engineer. Simulation involves Klappern(modal) target and its attachment stiffness.
    • Lead the Team of 4 for a new co-operation on Mercedes-Benz small car New Electric platform for Chinese market(Next gen electric CLA). Involved interaction with Chinese Design counterparts .
    • Currently leading new gen electric Mercedes-Benz GLS.
    • Regular FE Simulation work involves, building subsystems like closures, seat, cockpit etc.,and BIW. Eventually full vehicle integration using different joining techniques like spot weld, structural adhesives, seam weld, different sealings etc.,
    • Performing Eigen mode analysis using SOL103, Dynamic Stiffness Analysis SOL111,Generate Acoustic Cavity and assign fluid material, and Finally performing real time Road Load( Rolling Noise -Abrollen) calculations along with Low frequency Booming Noise (Wummern) and small frequency vibration calculations.
    • Make sure the results are in Target.
    • If not, performing root cause analysis, identify risks associated with the function and coming up with cost effective design measures.
    • Also performing Optimization Analysis(Topology and Topography) and Sensitivity analysis(SOL200)
    • Going for functional Review meetings and presenting results to the Chief Engineer along with Risks during the digital development phase. Follow the protocol for the next DPT phase.
    • Collaboration with Mitsubishi Fuso -Japan /Daimler – Handled a small team (2011-2015) for Truck Durability and NVH simulations – 4.5 years. (Performing C-Road and Engine Input Analysis on the chassis frame, Exhaust system and evaluating Stress levels on different parts of Exhaust )

  • Spin only structural analysis of turbine rotor (ANSYS) - The rotor is subjected to spin loading. Fillet stresses will be determined and the deviation at the periphery developed due to spin loading condition. Finding the fillet stresses and displacements when non-axisymmetric loading is present. Finding the possible stress at the peak stress location under both unbalance and blade loading using linear superposition.

  • Shell Meshing of seating systems and instrument panels.
