Key Roles and Responsibilities.

• Conceptualization of the preliminary rotor system layout, including the rotor head, control system, and blades.
• Detail design of rotor components, including sizing, modeling, drafting, and GD&T.
• Performance of preliminary stress analysis.
• Kinematic analysis of the control system using hand calculation and UG motion simulation.
• Material selection for both metals and composites, testing, and qualification.
• Manufacturing plans and development of composite rotor blades.
• Lifecycle management, including troubleshooting of the rotor.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• The study of engineering drawing, as provided by various design groups, provides inputs with respect to design for manufacturing, i.e. For aspects such as assembly requirements, tolerancing and dimensioning, manufacturing capability, and possible finish and preservation of components, etc.
• Study of material requirements, suggestions for materials with respect to strength and life requirements, i.e. Number of hours of operation of helicopter life.
• Preparation of detailed process methodology and process sheets for the manufacturing of various components, i.e. Studying and finalizing the manufacturing method, work centers consider the complexity of operation and lead time for manufacturing.
• Preparation of Programs using UG NX for manufacturing of components
• Providing continuous technical inputs and problem-solving throughout the developmental stage of components until it is realized to finalize an optimum process methodology.
• Study of various new processes available in the markets and feasibility for implementation for improved component quality.
• Assessment of the technical capability of vendors for the development of processes.

• Production planning and control, including the study of components for in-house manufacturing and subcontracting.
• Planning for the manufacturing of components at various work centers.
• Intra-departmental coordination for product realization and clearance.
