Lead Design Engineer - Power System components

• Develop the build to print design packages for multiple electrical components with in the team.
• Utilizing 3D models, Bills of material(BOM), wire routing, assembly drawings, fabrication drawings and specification of components.
• Translate power system requirements into hardware definition.
• Specify electrical sub components for use and integrate components mechanically and electrically.
• Integrate the components into power system, agreeing with the engineers on the interfaces.
• Support the build and test of prototype equipments both at supplier shops and installed component.
• Support the full lifecycle of the power system components design from concept to production to field operation regarding the power system components.
• Ensure compliance and support certification of the components to UL, CSA, CCC, CE and BIS directives as required by markets where components will be built.
• Ensure compliance of sub-components and their use to international codes and standards.
• Prepare and present material for design reviews at each milestones of a new product introduction. Project including conceptual design, preliminary design, detailed design and validation reviews.
• Develop should cost models for the designed components.
• Provide cost-out ideas and implement in regular update cycles.
• Initiate and process the Engineering changes to improve the productivity.
• Work with global and cross functional teams to leverage "Best Practice" for electrical power system component design and testing.
• Support sourcing organization for new supplier qualification and supplier audits.
• Support RCA on technical issues.
• Provide technical resolution on field issues.
• Work closely with technical leaders and global team members to ensure high quality and on time delivery for all engineering assignments.

• Responsible for all the P.M. and B.M. activities of the site.
• Responsible for controlling the MTTR & MTBF of the Wind Turbine.
• Attending all the major Electrical B/D of Sites.
• Analyzing all the break downs of Wind Turbines and planning for predictive maintenance.
• Planning for all the retrofitting activities and P.M. activities of the turbines.

• Erection & Installation of tower mount transformer for WTGs.
• Power transformer failure analysis and major failure rectification.

• Billing of Internal and External transmission line installation work.
• Spare provision planning for critical materials, P.M. and B.M. materials of site.
• Handling all Customers at site level. Resolving their queries at site.
• All the MIS report preparation related to daily, weekly, and monthly site activities.
• Working on SAP for P.M., B.M notifications, Raising PR etc.
• ISO documents preparation and maintaining ISO procedures at site level.
• Responsible for Manpower management, vehicle management site level.
