Successfully led the establishment and management of both short-term and long-term Emergency response and Recovery, food security and livelihoods projects/operations. My humanitarian experience includes delivery of assistance to disaster affected vulnerable populations including internally displaced persons (IDPs), refugees/returnees and the local population in complex and fragile post-disaster and insecure environments.   • Managed and represented CRS’ activities at the state offices, ensuring timely implementation of quality programs, proposal development and operational systems management in coordination with the country office
  • Led the coordination amongst the 4 state offices and the country office, provided leadership and managed daily operations ensuring delivery of all operational services with high quality, in an efficient manner and in compliance with CRS and donor policies
  • These included supply chain management (SCM), finance, human resources, administration, and information & communications technology (ICT)
  • Security management and responding to incidents / situations regularly was a major responsibility in Darfur
  • A major outcome was that procurement processes for goods & services under various projects were streamlined that resulted in improving efficiency and reducing the procurement period by around 25 days
  • Ensured risk management and compliance with CRS and donor policies and regulations, through trainings and monitoring, resulting in zero material weaknesses or deficiencies in the internal and external audits.

  • Management of operations support units (finance, human resources, procurement, supply chain: transport, warehousing & logistics, fleet and facilities) and trained

  • Worked in support of the USDA McGovern-Dole school feeding program, reduced commodity losses and expenses, trained staff and improved commodity tracking, so that zero material weaknesses were identified during internal and external audits and addressed subsequently in coordination with the program units.
